Mace Construct will continue to trade under its current name until the New Year before moving to Forco, the UK contractor has said. The company described the new name as “short, impactful and easy to pronounce.”
The change follows the separation of Mace Construct and Mace Consult into two businesses in March. Under that agreement, Mace Consult retains the Mace brand. The contracting business will adopt Forco with a new corporate strategy and productivity targets through 2030 to be unveiled alongside the change.
Mark Reynolds, Executive Chair, said the business had spent 35 years raising standards and helping to drive the industry forward. He said the Forco name represents a commitment to being the UK’s most forward-thinking contractor and its most productive by 2030.
Reynolds added that while the name and brand are changing, the culture, values and people behind the company’s success are not. Clients should expect the same teams, the same commitment to delivery and the same drive to create lasting places and infrastructure, he said.
The move gives the contracting business a separate identity after the split, while the Mace name remains with the consultancy. No further detail was provided on the new strategy’s contents or the specific measures behind the 2030 productivity targets.
