Aggreko has introduced three Tier 4 Final diesel generators configured specifically for remote Canadian work sites, offering 145 kW, 210 kW and 1200 kW capacities at 600V. The units are available exclusively to Canadian contractors, and the company says the models are built to meet and exceed local market needs and requirements. The launch is aimed at contractors working on remote sites where temporary power is required.
Canadian compliance built in
All three models are CSA and UN31A compliant, which Aggreko says aligns them with Canada's electrical and fuel regulations. The generators carry the company's latest technologies for reliable, low-emissions power across commercial and industrial applications, while being configured for the regulatory and market conditions Canadian contractors operate under.
1200 kW unit removes the step-up transformer
The largest model offers onboard 600V capability, eliminating the need for additional step-up transformers. Aggreko says the direct 600V output significantly reduces project complexity, improves cost-efficiency and minimises potential points of failure. That combination is pitched at large industrial loads where 600V is frequently required, and the company frames it as a distinct competitive edge for customers.
Deployment options across a 25 kW to 1200 kW fleet
- 145 kW and 210 kW: canopy units that can be deployed readily for immediate energy needs.
- 1200 kW: aimed at large industrial loads, with direct 600V output.
- Compliance: CSA and UN31A certification covering Canadian electrical and fuel rules.
The new models extend Aggreko's Canadian fleet, which ranges from 25 kW to 1200 kW. Through its network of Canadian service centres, the company's energy experts work with customers in data centres, construction, oil and gas, mining and events to deploy temporary power for a range of applications.
"Tailoring our most advanced generators for our Canadian customers underscores the importance of this market for Aggreko," said Paul Nascimento, managing director for Canada at Aggreko. He pointed to large petrochemical and mining industries that need power across vast and remote territories, alongside thriving construction and data centre sectors, as evidence of demand for engineered energy solutions that are both powerful and precisely configured.
Emissions, noise and off-grid data centre power
Aggreko states that all three generators provide industry-leading fuel efficiency, ultra-low emissions and significantly controlled noise levels, surpassing local requirements. The company sees the models as especially well suited to Canada's expanding data centre industry: as provincial regulators look to limit how much power data centre operators pull from the grid, the Tier 4 Final generators are presented as off-grid energy that keeps facilities operational with minimal disruption to communities.
The generators are positioned as part of Aggreko's broader Canadian offering, which the company says is supported by service centres able to supply temporary power across multiple sectors. Pricing and delivery timelines were not disclosed in the announcement.
